"We do not want to destroy the image of our brand," said Peter Chou as reported by the WSJ.

To be accepted in its main markets and the upper middle segment, HTC seeks to use better materials in its products.

"We strive to use better materials to make better products that offer premium taste." Chou continued.

HTC through the narrative of the CEO is also quite optimistic for the region up the smartphone market in China and developing nations. In which he said in 2012 was the possibility of sending the device to China would be three times that of the previous year delivery. While shipments to Indiaand other emerging markets mentioned will continue to rise.
